Chon Buri is the capital city of Chonburi Province in Thailand, located on the coastal road leading south from Bangkok, on the eastern shore of the Gulf of Thailand. Locally known as Bang Pla Soi, it has food-processing industries and a meteorological station. Rice, sugarcane, and cassava are grown in the surrounding area.

1. Si Racha
At a distance of about 105 km from Bangkok towards the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, is situated Si Racha in Chonburi. The place is the home of famous spicy sauce Naam Phrik Sii
Raachaa, used by ever Thailand household to prepare their food. It is also renowned for one of the best place to have the seafood and in particular the local oysters that are served with the Naam Phrik Sii Raachaa Sauce.

2. Ko Si Chang
Ko Si Chang is the only town on a small island in Chonburi province that faces the mainland. The rest of the island is practically deserted with a small population of fisher folk, retired and working mariners' and government employees who are stationed with the customs office or with one of the aquaculture projects on the island.

3. Pattaya
Pattaya known as the 'Jewel of the East' was once a small fishing hamlet in Chonburi province that has developed into one of the most popular beaches of the world.

Like other Thailand's beach nightlife, Chonburi nightlife is famous for its Go-Go scene. The main Go-Go area is Beach Road – a strip of coastline with an entertainment centre built along it known as ‘walking street’. Here the Go-Go bars are literally side-by-side with girls outside using every possible tactic to convince customers to enter the bar they work for – this can make manoeuvring down Walking Street a bit difficult sometimes!
